This course covers causes of fire, prevention of fires, safety before, during and after a fire. This course also includes nature of fires, fire hazards, use of a fire extinguishers and evacuation needs of residents.
This course covers what to do in different cases of medical and non-medical emergencies. This course includes basic first aid, including handling or how to handle bleeding episodes, seizures, cardiac and breathing emergencies, heat or cold overexposure, soft tissue and joint injuries as well as choking maneuvers.
This course includes documentation, collaboration with other healthcare staff, and communicating with the client/family members about the care plan/ISP. Assessment best practices and gathering information, Individual, family, and provider consideration throughout the assessment process, State regulations regarding ISPs as well as best practices, Protocol and documentation.
This registration fee covers materials as well as lunch. Training may include a combination of lecture with videos, trivia games, activities and hands-on skills.
This course is an introduction to the medication administration processes that need to be applied when administering medications. This course includes types of medications, medication terminology, methods of administration, legal and ethical issues involved with administering medication, as well as resident rights.
