Basic Life Skills (BLS/AED) & Heartsaver (CPR/AED)Trainings
Stepping Stones utilizes the American Heart Association (AHA) BLS course that trains participants to promptly recognize various life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. The goal of the BLS Course is to train participants to save the lives of victims in cardiac arrest through high-quality CPR. The AHA designed the BLS Course to teach healthcare professionals how to perform high-quality CPR individually or as part of a team. BLS skills are applicable to any healthcare setting. BLS students will learn rescue techniques for adults, children, and infants.*This class satisfies license or education requirements for all health care programs requiring CPR AED certification, including all healthcare education programs at any college or university.
Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
This course is 3-4 hours in length. The cost of this course is (In-Person) $110 (includes book) and (Hybrid) $85.
Who should take this course?
This BLS course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and pre-hospital settings.

Stepping Stones utilizes the American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course that trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
This course is 5-6 hours in length. The cost of this course is (In-Person) $110 (includes book) and (Hybrid) $85.
Who should take this course?
This Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Participants who complete this training program will be certified by the American Heart Association® (AHA®) as a First Aid & CPR/AED Provider. You will learn to perform CPR and use an AED for adults, children, and infants and relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. You will also learn to manage illness and injury until professional help arrives. Includes general principles, medical emergencies, injury management, and environmental emergencies. American Heart Association certification eCard provided. *This class will satisfy requirements for non-health care programs, including licenses requiring CPR AED. This class WILL NOT fulfill requirements for healthcare education programs at all Wisconsin colleges, universities, and technical colleges.
